Welcome to Prism hypnotherapy, home of the Carlow-based qualified private hypnotherapist Andrew Thomson. He holds a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (ADHP), and was trained by Dr J. Keaney – who has been in the field of hypnosis for more than 25 years. Andrew is also trained in cognitive behavioural therapy, and is adept in EFT and life coaching skills, as well as hypnotherapy.
Hypnotherapy is becoming increasingly popular in the UK and Ireland as a means of helping people quit smoking, cure phobias, addictions, weight loss, confidence issues and many other stumbling blocks in life.
Hypnosis has been popular in America for many years – and has gradually gained popularity. Indeed, hypnotherapists often get referrals from GPs and some doctors now use CBT techniques with their own patients.
When light hits a prism, rays of colour emerge. Prism hypnotherapy aims to use this concept metaphorically: hypnosis provides the tool for 'bringing more colour to life'. The ray of light represents a person's track through life, the prism is a stumbling block, and the resulting colour -after hypnosis- means the person is back on track !
